We are looking for a Compliance and Bid Officer for our busy direct mail printing, production and fulfilment centre in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear.

The compliance officer will be responsible for understanding, communicating and mitigating compliance risks and policy’s across our expanding digital print and direct mail services.  This role will ensure all practices are fully compliant with industry regulations, at the same time as improving compliance standards, policies and processes. They will provide project management and bid management, organisation and thoughtful leadership in all areas of compliance, and embed new ways of working into our production processes. This role will actively promote a culture of best practice and consistency in areas all areas of compliance.

The ideal candidate will be experienced, organised, capable of working in a very busy mailing house sales and admin environment, and able to use their own initiative.

The role includes:

  • Ensuring up-to-date knowledge and requirements for compliance from ISO, H&S Executive and other regulatory bodies and processes as might be applicable
  • Liaise with, and train where necessary, all staff to ensure compliance regulations are complied with and suitably evidenced in practice
  • Update and monitor compliance with policies and processes
  • Ensure WDM is in possession of all required certification and documentation required to demonstrate compliance
  • Maintain WDM policies capturing policy date and review date. Where an update is required, ensure that this is carried out in a timely manner by the appropriate person, and within any deadline identified. Ensure review dates are adhered to, and any amendments are appropriately distributed
  • Provide a central role pulling together all necessary component parts for tenders and bids, ensuring that all internal parties adhere to timescales and contribution elements, and that final submission complies with all potential client criteria

There will be a 3-month temp to perm probationary period, after which a permanent contract will be offered along with a pay rise.

We are looking for a Warehouse Stock Control Operative for our busy direct mail production and fulfilment centre in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear.

Experience and knowledge of warehouse operations, a current fork-lift licence, and the ability to manoeuvre stock by hand are essential.  Must also have sufficient literacy, numeracy and communication skills, and the ability to complete paperwork.  Applications from a mailing house or printing environment will be looked on favourably.

The role includes:

  • Efficient unloading and loading of stock from vehicles into and from the warehouse.
  • Ensuring the direct mail operation has the correct stock to hand at all times to complete the workload process.
  • Working closely on behalf of colleagues and customers to ensure they are receiving the correct deliveries and stock at the correct time.
  • Stock control.
  • Being flexible with regards to the shifts, production and teams.
  • Taking instruction from the Supervisor with a view to fulfilling and dispatching stock to the required destination, in a safe, quality assured and hygienic manner.
  • That all dispatch label and packaging is correct for direct mail campaigns and that all relevant production paperwork is completed, to specific time deadlines.

We are looking for Machine Operators for our busy direct mail production and fulfilment centre in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear.

Experience and knowledge of the operation of mailing house production machines and line production equipment is a major advantage, but full training will be given.  Applications from a suitably similar environment will be looked on favourably.

The role includes:

  • Operating the automated envelope enclosing machines, transactional direct mail fulfilment equipment and ancillary plant in an efficient and safe manner, and the ability to understand the batch filling and despatch labelling process, whilst adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Maintenance of the machines in good running order at all times, freeing up minor jams and changing over machinery in preparation for different customer jobs.
  • Carrying out and understanding direct mail machine cleaning procedures and being flexible with regards to the shifts, production and teams.
  • Taking instruction from the Supervisor with a view to fulfilling and dispatching the product to the required specification, in a quality and hygienic manner and ensuring that the weights, camera and barcode technology for each item are correct.
  • That all dispatch label and packaging is correct for direct mail campaigns and that all relevant production paperwork is completed, to specific time deadlines.

We are recruiting for Hand Picker Packer staff to work in our busy direct mail production and fulfilment centre in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear.

Experience and knowledge of working in a mailing house environment is a major advantage, but full training will be given.  Applications from a suitably similar picking and packing environment will be looked on favourably.

The role includes:

  • Picking and packing stock, hand insertion work, and some direct mail folding.
  • Taking instruction from the Supervisor with a view to fulfilling and dispatching the product to the required specification, in a quality and hygienic manner and ensuring that each direct mail pack is correct.
  • That all dispatch label and packaging is correct for direct mail campaigns and that all relevant production paperwork is completed, to specific time deadlines.

There will be a 3-month temp to perm probationary period, after which a permanent contract will be offered along with a pay rise.

The ideal candidate will be organised, capable of working in a very busy mailing house sales and admin environment, and able to use their own initiative.

  • Providing updates for management

Microsoft Outlook and Office experience is essential, but full training will be given on our internal customer relationship software.  Knowledge of Sage financial software would be an advantage but not essential.
