Christmas is almost upon us, but there’s no time to put our feet up at Washington Direct Mail. We’ve got direct mailing to get out for the holidays, but we’ve been a busy mailing house in 2017. In fact, it’s been our most significant year to date.
2017 has been the year of direct mail and outsourcing to a mailing company, especially with B2B direct mail trends of integrated marketing for 2018. More and more companies are turning to direct mail services, and we’ve experienced huge demand for mailing companies. We installed a Presstek four colour printing press in April, and it has already printed more than four million successful direct mail marketing campaigns.
2017 has seen so much growth; we are even taking on more staff. Our ever-growing team has been handling, on average, four to five new customers each month. We’ve renewed our contract with a huge charity event organiser, and gained a major retail client worth £150,000 and a financial services client, worth in excess up to £200,000.
After such a hectic and fantastic year, we’re busy preparing for 2018. Washington Direct Mail is going full steam ahead for the direct mailing onslaught of next year, particularly as companies see the benefit to using direct mail, combined with their digital advertising. We even outlined the most powerful stats of direct mail services this year, to help improve business and return on investment. A whopping 66% of direct mail is opened, and we predict the industry will get even bigger next year.
As a mailing company, we take pride in our direct mail printing services. So much so, we have joined the fantastic British Printing Industries Federation, boasting brilliant member companies. We are also looking to achieve our ISO27001 in January, enabling us to provide even more direct mail print services.
While we have been focusing on our direct mail services as one of the leading mailing houses in the North East, our website is getting a facelift. Keep your eyes peeled for the launch of our new website, at the beginning of January. The brand-new Washington Direct Mail website will showcase our range of services, clients we have worked with and an improved blog. We will, of course, still be sharing our top tips for planning B2B direct mail and revealing the best direct mail services, especially in the New Year.
We’ll sign off now (we need to get back to the warehouse), but thank you all for making 2017 such a successful year for WDM. We’ll see you in the New Year, armed with plenty of direct mail advice.
